Each year, the parish picnic is a highlight of our annual calendar. Our 2011 parish picnic was held on Sunday, June 5. We started the picnic with Mass at 10am. Our organist, Alfred, was there with his keyboard, so we had great music for the service. After Mass we ate. As well as hamburgers and hot dogs, there were lots of great salads and desserts to try. One Hope Church joined us, so there good Korean food to enjoy too. The weather was warm, but not too hot. Everyone seemed to have a good time.

On February 21, 2009, St. Andrew's launched its initial fundraiser for "SARF" (St. Andrew's Restoration Fund). The fundraising event was a "Chili-do". Around 70 people attended and over $1,800 was raised.

On Tuesday October 14, the Carrollton/Farmers Branch Independent School District officially dedicated Nancy H Strickland Intermediate School. The school is named for one of our much loved parishioners in recognition of her contribution to education in the area. Nancy also does a lot at St. Andrew's and for the Farmers Branch community.

Our Taste of Italy evening on May 17 was a huge success, and we now have photos of the evening on the website.
