Any announcements about current Habitat for Humanity work days will be published at the bottom of this page ... so be sure to scroll down to check! Each year St. Andrew's parishioners participate in a Habitat for Humanity workday, usually in September or October. We work on a house that is being built for a family in the Dallas metroplex. It is truly amazing the progress that can be made on the construction of a house in a single day by people who mostly have no building experience. Even more amazing is seeing the transformation of an entire run-down neighborhood by the construction of dozens of Habitat homes. It transforms neighborhoods and it tranforms lives. Almost everyone is capable of participating at a Habitat for Humanity workday. You don't need special skills ... most people can use a hammer, and even if you can't, you can help provide nails and tools to the rest of the team. Participating in this type of ministry is a very hands-on way of serving the Lord and helping His people.
